Enthusiasm, Eager, Engaged
During the weeks at Our Lady of Providence we led multiple crafts supplied by Artasia, giving children opportunities to explore different materials and techniques. While week 4’s activity didn’t unfold exactly as planned, the campers were so encapsulated in the colours and techniques, they loved the way the different coloured tissue paper bled together to create art. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and the room was filled with a vibe that was too fun, kids were running around showing their friends their art and working together on artworks. The children weren’t focused on whether the project “worked”, they were simply absorbed in the joy of making something.
Reflecting on our time at the sight, we can confidently say the program as a whole went very well. The children were consistently engaged and eager to participate, bringing energy and enthusiasm to each activity, no matter the challenge or medium, their willingness to try new things- and ability to adapt when projects didn’t go as expected. The support from the ECE’s was also very helpful. They were attentive, encouraging and always ready to lend a hand to us and the children. Their collaboration really helps the crafts to run smoothly.
