Artasia at Lakewood

Week 5 was a highlight of the program—some kids couldn’t get enough of the activity and created up to 8 paintings each! Their energy was unstoppable. Many dove deep into their imaginations, drawing complex cartoons and layered images that showed focus, excitement, and joy.

This moment mattered because it showed how deeply children can focus when they feel ownership and joy in what they’re doing. It made me think about how we can continue to create open-ended opportunities that invite this kind of passion and creativity.
