Creating access to arts in early learning and after school environments with the City of Hamilton.

Arts in Early Spaces

Artists in Neighbourhoods is an Arts For All approach to bringing professional and emerging artists into early learning and after school spaces across the greater Hamilton region—where children, youth, families, and educators live, learn, and gather.

Rooted in twenty five years of experience, the Arts For All Artists in Neighbourhood approach supports children’s many languages and ways of expression, strengthens capacities and relationships with artists and educators and ensures arts are a part of everyday life— not as an exception, but a shared practice.

Impact Map

This work is grounded in relationship, listening, and presence.  Artists work alongside communities to create meaningful, Reggio inspired arts experiences. Embedded in sites over time, artists collaborate with educators and families responding to the ideas, questions, and cultures of each neighbourhood.
