Giving Our Energy to Others

On week 4 energy I sat with four children for almost my entire time, they were participating in the activity and telling me stories about each other. They told me stories that related to the specific colour they were choosing, they mentioned their friends that represented colour on the artwork. The most interesting and special part to me was that they were encouraging each other, they would tell each other that their work was beautiful and that they were amazing artists. It was lovely to watch.

This moment was special for me because it was something that I had been making sure to remind the children every week, you’re an amazing artist. To me it showed that the children started to believe this themselves. This was the week of energy but it ties into relationships. The children valued each other’s work and wanted to see their friends be proud of themselves.
