Tinfoil Restaurant
When presenting our tinfoil sculpture activity, I mentioned how I saw some earlier in the week make a juice box as their sculpture. The kids for this group decided they would make juice boxes, lunch boxes, plates and other food related items. They asked for help and troubleshooted any shapes they didn’t know how to make. Some of them combined their sculptures together or started playing restaurant after they finished creating.
The children heard one idea and turned it into a group project and make-believe world for them to explore. And when they faced challenges making their plans a reality they worked together and asked for help.Â
This activity allowed the children to explore their building and storytelling skills together. They got a chance to build their food-filled world with each other.
