“I Have A Right” at the Art Gallery of Hamilton aimed to bring the Hamilton Charter of Rights of Children and Youth to life through arts and cultural exchange.
Media artists Tyler Tekatch, Kyle Duffield, Joseph Browne, and Drew McEachern collaborated to create a large-scale interactive media arts mural shaped to look like the George Robinsons stage in Gage Park.
The work features exchanges about Canadian children’s rights between participating children and 150 notable Canadians.
Children from the area wrote postcards to famous Canadians such as Robert Munsch, Peter Mansbridge, Jim Carrey, Robert Bateman, Julie Payette and Raffi.
