The conversion of the HCA Recital Hall into a Black Box Space will support a safe and portable infrastructure with an easy set up to make better use of technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of programs.
Arts For All will fully participate in the new paradigm of this multi-functional venue to integrate audiences within the performance space to create new collaborative and inspiring relationships between generations–professional artists and arts educators, emerging interns, apprentices, youth mentors, participants, family and friends as equal contributors.
The Black Box Space is a modestly sized venue available at a community rate that allows for flexibility in set-up and ease of use of professional quality equipment.
The community at large will gather in this downtown core venue location, attending programming produced and presented by through programming that Arts For All, HCA Dance Theatre and Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts.
Supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation Capital Fund, Arts For All has transformed the HCA Recital Hall into a multi-disciplinary multi-media Black Box Theatre, a professional arts hub with projection and screening capacity for an integrated multi-channel live and electronic streaming experience supplemented by Canadian Heritage: Canada Cultural Spaces Fund for the acquisition of specialized equipment for live and recording of arts activities.
