Park in Our Neighbourhood was a new play that engaged graduate post-secondary emerging artists in the planning and production process in the CKA ArtWorks program. An Artist and Community Collaboration component linked the interns with professional theatre design artists, Denise Lisson and Jim Mullen, who worked in a mentorship capacity to lead and guide the design component of the sets and props for this new premiere. Five hundred school age children across 14 sites from nearly every neighbourhood in Hamilton performed Park in Our Neighbourhood, celebrating the culmination of 15 weeks of the After School Arts Program.
