Baby Loves Music: Workshop
Eamon Sweeney + Anna Newell (Ireland)
About the workshop:
Educators will engage in an exploration of creative practice for babies and young children, guided by Eamon Sweeney and theatre-maker Anna Newell, both recognised for their work in participatory performance for early years audiences. Drawing on extensive project work across Ireland and internationally in arts centres, community venues, and and a variety of contexts, this session focuses on imaginative play, sensory environments, listening-led facilitation, and the subtle dynamics of artist–child interaction. Practical themes include shaping welcoming spaces, use of voice and live acoustic sound, working alongside parents and educators, and selecting material that supports curiosity and connection.
