re-gen-er-a-tion
noun
- the action or process of regenerating or being regenerated, in particular the formation of new animal or plant tissue
To regenerate is to renew, restore and grow. The term is most often applied to living organisms such as genomes, cells and ecosystems. But what happens when this word guides a process of art making with everyday things? Artasia 2014 guided children through the process of using common shapes and objects to explore new associations, meaning and use.
That Blue, That Red, That Yellow was an art installation created by artist Svava Thordis Juliusson. Over the course of Artasia program delivery, children looked at examples of Svava’s work, using it as a point of departure for their own artistic explorations.
